Wonder what we’ve been listening to in the office?
We have been off to a crazy start this year! Lots of new projects have been updated in featured work. Make sure you check out the posters we illustrated for the AIDS documentary Hope Positive. Our recent web design for Propozz has been gaining recognition around the web on sites like CSS Mania. More updates to come!
In the process of design, choosing colors can be difficult. Before you drive the color scheme guy crazy, check out colorblender.com. The site makes the job of picking colors a little easier. The concept is quite simple. It only consists of dragging RGB levels left to right. So for anyone who has problems choosing paint, or a scheme for your website or magazine, colorblender.com just might be the way for you.
Enjoy!!!

Last week I attended the premiere of Hope Positive. Seeing our designs come to life on the big screen was surreal! Hope Positive is a documentary by Crossroads International that brings awareness to the HIV/AIDS crisis. It reminded me how good it feels to work on life changing humanitarian projects and how proud I am to be apart of a company that reinforces those values. Hydra Studio received overwhelmingly positive feedback on our DVD packaging, illustrative web design, and marketing initiative. On top of all this, I got to meet Chris, one of the cast members who flew in from Chicago to attend the premier. Visit Hopepositive.com and check for screenings in your area!
Lately I have been trying to pin down exactly why I feel a little uneasy about XHTML and I am beginning to think the reason has more to do with its’ perceived purpose rather than a deep criticism of the language itself. XHTML has always felt like a puppy, blind in one eye, trying to run uphill with uneven appendages. It’s awkward, it’s clumsy, and even though it will get to where it needs to be, the trip is hardly ever graceful.
Here are some books we suggest you check out.
